Belong Warrington celebrates 1st birthday with 2040 time capsule

BELONG Warrington customers, staff and relatives joined together to bury a treasure-filled time capsule in celebration of one-year since the community care village first opened.
With a helping hand from Alicia White, representing the Warrington first division Brownies, the capsule was packed with staff and residents’ old photographs and mementoes, as well as objects significant to 2015, such as pictures of Queen Elizabeth II, now Britain’s longest serving monarch.
The Brownies also donated their unit badge, Dementia Friends badge and poems about what a Belong village stands for.
General manager Janine Curwell said: ‘It feels like only yesterday that we first opened our doors, yet the strong sense of community and vibrant village life we have here is remarkable."
Belong Warrington customers, staff, relatives and friends are pictured gathered in the village garden to watch the time capsule being buried, with the help of Alicia White from the Warrington 1st division Brownies.
