How to deodorize Urine in Portable Potty for an elderly person?
RaceCar asked:
I take care of an elderly woman who cant always to the bathroom at night. But when I get her up in the morning her whole room smells like urine, and travels thought out the house. I always put water in her Pot . Ive tried putting Bleach in it but is just smell like bleach and urine. Is there something I can mix with the water when I refill her pot that can deodorize the smell. Someone recommended the littel blue tablet disc BUT putting a new one of those everytime and empty her potty would extremely expensive.
Let me clarify. The problems isnt cleaning the pot. When she useing is at night the pee sit for hours, it fill the entire room with the smell until I com ein the morning.

sprinkle baking soda in it. Use baking soda to clean it also. Then spray with a vinegar and water mix. Kills the odor.
